With an Airlink print server, how can I connect a desktop PC Wired and wireless laptop at the same time?
I have a desktop and a laptop, both connected to a Linksys WRT54G router (desktop via CAT 5 cable, laptop via access wireless). I was tired of going down stairs to connect the laptop to my HP Photosmart 1215 printer, so I bought a wireless print server (Airlink AMPS240W). I ran the installation software on the first laptop and everything worked perfectly. Then I found the software on the desktop and it worked perfectly, but (here is the problem) started the laptop out, so I changed the IP address of the laptop and was looking tied again, but kicked the Desktop. How to get to use the same print server at the same time? Thanks for your help.
you need to give your print server a static IP, DHCP usually ship that can change every 2 to 4 hours (horrible) and then ensure that their customers have IP point to the print server.
