Router Question?
Moving from a Sprint AirCard wireless connection to a cable connection (cable with an RJ45 connector). I have a laptop (which has a built in wireless card) so I need a wireless router. I see a lot of options Wireless-G, Enhanced G, Wireless N, and so on. Be Linksys routers were always good, but not sure what to buy with all that no .. I would like recommendations from people who know more than me. No people interested in sales at stores .. In addition, I have to buy an adapter for my laptop? Please help.
To be honest I do not see much difference with Wireless N of G for web browsing and email, this is based on the speed of your bandwidth. N provides a better distance from G, but the speed increase is really only be felt on a local network. There are some benefits to the N, but for what you want, I would probably try a majority of Wireless G. online shows you are for marketing purposes showing the N Wireless transfer files between a local network and displays the results. This is usually 5 times faster that G. Again, this is not only locally on a WAN and Internet. Again, there are benefits to N, but if your just browsing the web, I would go with the cheapest G for now.
