Wireless Configuration Range Expander (WRE54G Linksys)?
Ok, so I have a WRT54G router. I removed all security measures to Range Expander get this stupid job. my level of knowledge is an intermediary network, closer to the advanced beginner. using a laptop, I can connect to my router at 192.168.1.1. The network configuration on this laptop are 192.168.1.x IP, default gateway 192.168.1.1, subnet mask 255.255.255.0. if change the default gateway to 192.168.1.240, I can access the WRE54G in that direction (which is its default IP). However, I can not access the Internet, or the WRT54G. After doing some research I did a little work in creating the new firmware WDS WRT54G (required, remembered with Alchemy-V1.0 v3.37.6.8). This is where my lack experience becomes problematic. Are you sure you have the SSID correct. SSID must be identical for each wireless device on the wireless network and is case sensitive. I also think it may be disabled. Dissemination SSID. Before you disable the SSID broadcast on the Range Expander Wireless, please make sure you set the correct SSID for the Range Expander to use. If not, the Range Expander will not be able to connect to the wireless network.
