How can I make my work with my Linksys Router DSL modem so you can have wireless internet?
I just got my motorola 2210 DSL modem from AT & T and got the job of the Internet. Well, now we want to connect to the linksys router so we can be online with the Wii wirelessly. We know how to connect, enter the page of Linksys (192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.1254) and BellSouth name put in my password etc. .. but still often connect! So what am I doing wrong? I keep getting this error Failed to get server IP address PPPoE. I went to the Linksys page and do everything he says that to solve the problem … lucky! if anyone knows how to fix this PLEASE HELP! I need information, and establish the instructions set. Thanks in advance! I know much about how this works so please explain this rigidity as simple as possible please!
Since you have inserted a router between the computer and modem, you can have the router clone (take) the computer's MAC address. (A MAC address is one of the twelve digits of the network interface card (NIC). It has nothing to do with Mac computers) Your ISP should know that it recognizes as legitimate customers, but from the modem, instead of the computer, now is talk to the modem (and the ISP), the router has to be done is like his team. Log in to the web administration pages for your router and Clone MAC Address or the like. I hope that helps.
