Verizon DSL and wireless router?
I'm looking to improve the system for my mom as a surprise, even providing wireless connectivity. I know that has Verizon DSL, but I've never worked with DSL. I've set up lots (more than I can remember) of the routers, but they were all cable modems. Wireless-G will generally have tended to either Linksys or Netgear (not that crap Belkin). Do not just get a WRT54G and plug the DSL into it as input, or something else than that? I set up DHCP and all that fun, but do not know how a cable modem router with a DSL modem interfaces, in any case, or whether to buy something else. Thanks
unless the modem is a wireless modem, you need to brigde the modem before connecting the router. I would also like the Linksys recmoend as Verizon is only compatible with Linksys routers. Thus, if you have problems or mother you will be able to get help for there support.
