How to configure a wireless network using the satellite Internet service
If you live in the country and can not get high speed access Internet, satellite Internet access to provide the best option to surf the net at broadband speeds. Besides being able to reach speeds of broadband, not limited to a coaxial cable to connect a computer. You have the ability to use a wireless connection. You can network your home or computer the office easier, and that several people can surf the Internet on multiple computers simultaneously.
The first step in establishing your wireless network is to choose a reliable provider of satellite Internet services. Two way satellite Internet offers the most efficient service. The top three Internet companies companies Satellite access is Starband, Hughesnet and Wildblue my favorite. There are a couple of service providers in a way, but I would stay away from them. Unless you want tie up your telephone line and would like other headaches!
After selecting a satellite Internet service provider will have to out a purchase of necessary equipment for wireless access. If you do not have a computer that has an internal wireless card already built in then have to buy one you have, or have to purchase a wireless network adapter. Having established the network card will need a wireless router. I would with brands such as Linksys, Netgear or D-Link. These three vendors are reliable and easy to configure.
After your satellite Internet service is installed you are ready to connect your wireless network. Start by connecting the satellite Internet modem to the router. Your router will send signals to your computer through infrared signals. Configure your router following the instructions that came with the router.
If you are using a wireless network adapter you want to connect to a USB port on your computer. If your computer came with an internal wireless card that should receive the signal through the card. If you bought the router before installation, most installers will help you configure your router. If not, simply follow the instructions for the router's manual. Is very simple!
There is something to consider. When two or more people are surfing the Internet at the same time, it shares the connection speed Internet. So if you subscribe to a service using 512k speeds, both could be the division of the speed. With this in mind, be selective in choosing their plans Internet service via satellite. All you then be happier with your Internet service by satellite in the end.
