How can I use my Linksys router with my official "Xbox 360 wireless adapter?
I have a Linksys wireless router WRT54GX4 I can not seem to work with my official Xbox 360 adapter. I have read the "Official" forums and do not address this problem and I do not think can understand. Normally, when I try to connect, or can not obtain an IP address or fails the DNS test, but I find that even now fails the test network Although wireless sees my wireless network and passes the test of wireless network adapter. I've heard rumors about downloads from Xbox Live that I can not find when I Finnally dust ethernet cable good age. I also checked the Linksys site and said nothing, so my firmware update on my router anyway. I am currently running 1.00.17 firmware on my router and firmware 4.3.19.1 in my diary "" Xbox 360 wireless adapter. Can somebody please help me?
On your Xbox 360, sure the IP and DNS settings are automatic. Make sure your Xbox 360 is on and has the wireless adapter plugged up, then press the button on the router (Cisco Systems), which should now be flashing gray or something (instead of orange) the return to the console and press the button on the adapter. Then in the menu on Xbox 360, and test the connection. Now you should be able to access Xbox Live, if not, go to Xbox.com / support or call 1-800-4MY-XBOX.
