linksys wireless router for aircard
Why is my router not registering if my modem is working?

I connect wirelessly to a LinkSys router with an aircard. Like I assume is the regular set-up, my modem is connected my router with one of those cords that have the telephone looking plug at the ends. My aircard defaults to my network, and I’ve never had any problems before. I called my ISP last night, and they did find an error code in the modem, but they fixed it. Now, if I connect the cord from the modem directly into my computer, my internet works fine. When it’s connected to the router, and I right-click on the wireless computer icon, it doesn’t even show my network. My aircard will connect to unsecured networks it picks up, but my network isn’t even on the list. What is going on? Is this a problem with my router? I can’t imagine what could have happened to it though.. Thanks in advance for any advice. PLEASE HELP!

Connect the cord to the router and then reset the router. This is normally done by unplugging for about one minute and then plugging the power back in. (Unplug the power cord, not the LAN cord.

Once the router resets, it will re-establich it’s connection to the internet and you should then be OK.
