Linksys WRT54G / bin. file. Driver? I can not find ..?
I have a v5.0 Linksys WRT54G Wireless-G Broadband Router and cannot find the software that it comes with. I found the firmware for this, but its a tray. file. Is this the file you need? I was told that a trash can. can not be opened or installed. Does anyone know where I can get the software or driver I need? Thank you for your time!
As far as I know, the only software needed is WRT54G firmware the small program that saves or restore a saved configuration file or router. This can be very useful if you have to restart the router, but not required on the day day. No driver, because the router sees the computer as any other web server, so that communicates via HTTP (and perhaps FTP). The rest of the programming the router is the firmware and administration Web pages, which I suspect is what is in it. bin. In other words, you should be able to use the router too well without the software. If you want absolutely check Linksys / Cisco 's website. Hope that helps. PS: Linksys routers use 192.168.1.1.
