Linksys Wireless Router Problems?
Well, I'm trying my darndest to get this stupid router installed. I do not have the installation CD, but I went to the Linksys web site and follow the installation instructions. Internet connection when I'm connected directly to my modem (as now), but as soon as I connect to the router I lose the connection. I can not even get to the settings page (192.168.1.1). Is there something I'm missing? Please, if you have any advice, let me know. Everyone keeps telling me that all you have to do is plug it in, but obviously not so simple. I am running Windows XP, and is Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router, I have a DSL modem that is connected to my desktop computer.
It took me 3 hours to get mine to work FREAKING. All I can say is call the Helpline Linksys. It took a long time before it worked … but finally did and I'm glad I kept it cuz now I'm in this sitting in my room with a laptop. Happiness Good luck, and the same to you!
