Is there a MacOS10.3.x Configurable Wireless Router?
I want a wireless router that I can always connect to my ISP DSL box (my ISP uses PPPoE) which is at least an output of 10 base T or faster port cabling. The worst is that I want to be able to configure this puppy from a Mac running Mac OS 10.3.9 (configure encryption, say that my ISP account password yy PPPoE settings and any firewall optoins would be a prize!). Airport Extreme does not seem to fit this bill (see below for details). Are there other brands such as Linksys or Netgear router that come with configuration tools MacOS friendly. I am prepared through the puzzle configuration command line as a terminal window that has the router via the Cisco IOS, through a graphical user interface tool to save an hour of confusion and relearning is preferable. foolishly running and plunked down ~ $ 200 AirPort Extreme Apple, but the configuration software seems to want 10.4 or later. So much for plug-n-Play!
Try to find a wireless router as configuration Web-based.
