Changed IP address of the router – can not be configured?
Recently I tried configuring my router, a Linksys WRT54G Wireless-G, and found with a problem. To configure the router, the manual says to enter your default IP address in my address bar. I did that, but changed the IP when I was getting into with the settings. Now I can not return to the site configuration using the default IP address or with which I changed. The address said it was going to http://192.168.1.1, that no longer works.
Link below with photos. If this is the router. At the rear is a small pin hole, use a paperclip and restart the router with power electric. This will restore everything back to default. The default IP is for the local network and access routers website with the address. Rarely is there a need to change the default settings. Keep in mind that it is a public IP address assigned by your ISP. This has nothing to do with the local IP on your local network. The only time you should need to mess with the settings is that if the ports have to go through the website that the devices available to the rest of the world.
