Comcast Internet problems using a Linksys Wireless B?
Hello – i am intalling wireless internet in my house and am having some Internet problems at work. I can connect to the radio router configuration screens and confirgure, but I think I'm missing something. Anyone have suggestions anby Comcast also caling? I'm thinking it mighy the router, because when I plug in a port infrastructure on the back, I still dont get internet. Anyone have any idea?
First, verify that you are receiving a signal from Comcast. Connect your computer directly to the modem, and make sure you can connect Internet in this way. If you can not, then it is a problem with Comcast. When changing from a wired connection to a wireless connection, make sure sure select the appropriate connection settings in the Network Connections control panel, allowing the normal cable connection or wireless connection, but not both. If you receive a signal from Comcast, but not from your router, make sure the cable modem to the router is good, it's better to have a spare in case the cable is bad, what happens. Also make sure your router has power (which sounds like you do, since you can "talk" with him). Also make sure that software you have installed the router, so the team knows how to find the router. Good luck.
