Linksys WRE54G questions ….: (?
I just bought this wireless repeater outside eBay, which came with the installation disc, but I had a hell of a lot of issues installing it. The computer hardware and communication issues. When using the disc, says my wireless card can not be recognized, so the setup disk did not install. I however, can be seen as a wireless source. When I try to connect to the repeater is connected limited as it wants a password or something like a router. It lets me connect to Internet Explorer, but shows that it is producing good sign. Can anyone help me please? I'm running Vista on a computer that is less than a month old, and I really like to get this job so I can get my free internet cities. Thank you, CC
The WRE54G does not have a built-in DHCP server so that if you are hard-wired to a computer to create the computer must have a static IP address within the network range as the WRE54G. (if the default settings of the WRE, you can use static IP settings: IP address: 192.168.1.2 Mask Subnet: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1) pm me if you need more help.
