How to configure a home network – Configuring a home network
In the past, most people had only one computer at home and nothing more. Internet access is based on dial-up modems that connect directly with a serial cable in the home team. No local area network was needed. With the advance technology and the acceptance of modern high-speed broadband connectivity in homes, requires that appliances should be networked to facilitate online access and to communicate and share information among themselves.
What I mean by that is, computer appliances, game consoles next-generation printers, scanners, network storage, etc. All appliances need to share information with each other over a local Area network, but also need high speed access to the Internet. To achieve this, you need to configure a home network. With a home network that basically create a LAN, either wired or wireless network on which devices communicate with each other inside the house, and also share a common Internet connection.
The heart of a home network is a broadband router. This is usually an integrated cable-wireless device that enables you to build a home internet using Ethernet network cables or a Wi-Fi wireless. The router shares the Internet connection with your devices.
Once your network is in place, you have unlimited opportunities to fix what needs to its network. Things such as laptops, desktop computers, gaming consoles, servers, print servers, etc. After finally connecting all devices to your router, you can do whatever you want to share data between them.
