Do not get in to my Linksys Wireless G Router to work with my Comcast high speed cable. What can I do?
I tried resetting the router several times. I have followed all of the many steps, many times. The router does not connect to the Internet. My internet is fine when not run through the router. As soon as I try and route, the connection is no longer detected. Someone please help me! Thank you!
this is what you should do: CAT 5 cable to run from the modem cable to the Linksys internet port (not port 1,2,3 or 4) Reset linksys router back to factory defaults by holding the button reset located on the back of the router. unplug all power. Power the Comcast cable modem and wait for 2 minutes! Turn on the linksys router and wait another 2 minutes. Connect another cable in port 1 and the other end into your PC. Restart the PC. If you can not get on the Internet, then retrieve router, Internet port is dead. (I had to return a few Linksys routers in the past that were completely new, who died of Internet ports). If you can get on the Internet, then try the radio.
