Port Forwarding Issues
I use a Linksys Wireless G router, so far my ports were forwarded correctly. My ports are configured correctly to my PC (192.168.1.103). And everything worked fine until today mysteriously stopped. I have tried to direct connections with the modem, changing the ports around, refreshing My IP, etc for some reason port forwarding simply not work. Anyone have any advice? Edit: This is for my Apache web server. I connect to the server on my network, but if I try to connect outside the network times out. (Similarly, if I use a proxy website to try to connect to the server, also the waiting time. My local IP is not static, it is automatically configured through the router's DHCP server. settings are not changed over the few days (to my knowledge). The point I am trying to make is that it worked yesterday.
What is the application in question? Is your local static IP? Have you tried changing the ports? Have you tried disabling power saving modes on the properties of your network adapter? Are you sure netBIOS is established via TCP / IP DHCP? Set your local IP to be static because conflicts can happen once your lease is DNS experience and / or new devices connect to the network. But it sounds like the script Apache is not configured right – but be sure to configure a static IP address to also have their set of NetBIOS over TCP / IP, I had this problem with terminal services once – could see the target on the network but not outside it, it could not see the NetBIOS outside the network, which was established in DHCP.
